The Dogfight
Begins In First Practice.................
The first session of the SCCA Runofffs, proved that this is going to be a dogfight. 10 cars within 1 second, and the entire field within 6 seconds.
Colin Cross posted a time on lap 5 to finish the session 6th overall. Marge fastest lap was quick enough to place her 39th with Father Laury right behind.
After the session, Colin was picked on a random draw to go to the tech shed for a variety of inspections. After the fuel was tested, transmission was checked and the car checked over, he was released.
The team discussed the session individually with team manager Scott Shelley, and put together a plan for the first qualifying on Tuesday. On board video cameras are on Colin and Marge's car. These cameras tape the entire session of each driver, and then are review and critiqued to help the drivers enhance their driving.
In the qualifying sessions, the cars are placed in a starting order based on a random draw. Marge and Laury will go out mid pack, and Colin will be towards the back.
